Background: |

Dhaka
Community Hospital is a trust owned private, non- profit
making and self- sustainable health care providing
organization. Since its inception in 1988, DCH has been
experimenting an integrated and sustainable health
delivery system at an affordable cost both in urban and
rural area and industrial organizations too.
DCH is running Industrial Health Care Program with its
own efforts since 1988. At present, it is providing the
health care services to 14 industrial organizations at a
minimum affordable cost.

From our program, we have seen the
following diseases are very common among the industrial workers: |

Dental carries |
|
|
Different types of skin
infection. (Scabies, fungal infection, Boil etc) |

- ARI
- Diarrhaeal diseases
- Helminthiasis
- Malnutrition
- CSOM and other ENT problems
- Injuries and wound infection
- Others. (Asthma, Heart diseases,
Rheumatic fever, TB, Gastric, etc)

To provide industrial
workers with affordable need based health support system |

To make the DCH Industrial
Health Care Program cost effective and sustainable |

Services: |
|
|
| 1. |
DCH will provide a doctor
who will visit once a week to an Industry for a full day as long as
patients are available |
| 2. |
Industry will manage the
prescribed medicines for the patients |
| 3. |
DCH will provide Indoor
Service, Pathology Service, Operation and Emergency Service to
Industrial worker by the 10% discount on general service rates at
Dhaka Community Hospital |
| 4. |
DCH will make necessary
arrangements for providing the age certificate to industrial Worker
whenever needed by industrial organization. Industry will pay for it. |
| 5. |
DCH will provide PHC
training to two workers to become Doctor’s Assistants |
| 6. |
DCH will help to prepare
and print the Industrial Health Card |
| 7. |
Industry will provide a
place for Doctor and his Assistant to examine the patients |

|
|
Services cost/fee: |
|
|
|
8. |
Industry will pay to DCH
an agreed amount per month for Doctor’s services |
|
9. |
Industry will pay the cost
of PHC training for two workers for Doctor’s assistance |

Industry will pay the
printing cost of Health Card |

|
|
Period of services: |
|
|
| 11. |
Agreement will be
effective for one year. It may be renewed on mutual discussion |
| 12. |
Termination
of agreement will depend on mutual consent. 30 days notice will be
required from either side |

|
|
Others: |
|
|
| 13. |
Doctor’s visiting day and
time will be fixed by mutual discussion. |
